A classic Catskill-style dry imitating medium mayfly duns. Its hallmark is a stripped peacock-quill body for a segmented, banded abdomen, paired with ginger hackle and upright wood-duck wings. A traditional Eastern searching pattern.
1. Start a Tan Thread base.
2. Tie in upright divided wings of Wood Duck Flank and post them.
3. Tie in a few Ginger Hackle fibers as the tail.
4. Wrap a Stripped Peacock Quill forward in tight turns for a segmented abdomen.
5. Wind one or two Ginger Hackle feathers for a full collar fore and aft of the wings.
6. Whip finish, cement.
