Your newsletter email

When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address and nothing else. We use it for a single purpose — to send you the quarterly newsletter from Country Roads Fly Co.

• We never sell or rent your email address to anyone.
• We never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for their own use.
• We never add you to any list other than the newsletter, and we never bundle newsletter sign-up into creating an account.
• Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you immediately.

Our newsletter is delivered through MailerLite, our email service provider. They store the email list and send the newsletter on our behalf, and they process your address only to provide that service. You can read their privacy practices on the MailerLite website.

Your account

If you create an account, sign-in and identity are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. They store your login details and basic profile information (such as your email and name) so you can sign in securely. We use this information only to operate your account.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card details directly. We keep a record of your subscription tier and status so we can give you the right access, but the sensitive payment information stays with Stripe.

What you put into the tools

When you use one of the tools, what you give it — a photo of a fly or an insect, a location, your materials list — is sent to a third-party technology provider that generates the result and sends it back to us. They process it to answer that one request.

• We don't use what you give the tools to advertise to you, and we never sell it.
• Each result gets its own private link so you can return to it. That link isn't listed anywhere and search engines aren't pointed at it — but anyone who has the link can open the result, so pass it on only to people you mean to.
• We keep your results so they stay available to you. Ask us and we'll delete them; deleting your account removes them too.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to run the site — chiefly to keep you signed in (Clerk) and to process payments (Stripe). We do not use your data for cross-site advertising.

Your choices

You're in control of your data. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To access, correct, or delete your account information, contact us at scott@countryroadsfly.com and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
