Imitates the large Eastern green drake mayfly (Ephemera guttulata) dun, one of the most anticipated hatches of late spring. Tied as a parachute dun on a big hook, it presents a large, well-floating profile that brings up big, selective trout during the brief emergence.
1. Lay a thread base of Yellow Thread.
2. Tie in 3-4 Moose Body Hair fibers as a fanned tail at the bend.
3. Post an upright wing of Deer Hair and build a parachute base.
4. Dub a tapered body of Olive Dubbing from the tail to the wing post.
5. Wind a Grizzly Hackle parachute-style around the post.
6. Tie off, dub a small thorax, whip finish, and cement.
