A simple surface-film emerger built around a buoyant CDC "puff" that suspends the fly in the meniscus. A trailing shuck represents the shed husk and a slim dubbed body completes the impression of a mayfly emerging.
1. Start the Olive Thread and wrap to the bend.
2. Tie in a sparse Z-Lon trailing shuck.
3. Dub a slim Olive Dubbing abdomen to two-thirds.
4. Tie in a clump of Dun CDC and trim into a short upright "puff."
5. Dub a small thorax around the puff base.
6. Whip finish (keep cement off the CDC).
