Andy Carlson's purple-bodied variation of the Parachute Adams, an enormously popular Western attractor. The purple body adds contrast and visibility while the grizzly parachute hackle and calf-hair post keep it floating flat and easy to see. A general mayfly imitation and searching pattern.
1. Start the Purple Thread and lay a base.
2. Tie in an upright Calf Tail post and post it vertical.
3. Tie in a tail of Grizzly Hackle fibers.
4. Dub a slim Purple Dubbing body to the post.
5. Wind a Grizzly Hackle parachute-style around the post; secure and trim.
6. Whip finish at the eye, head cement.
