Uses water-repellent snowshoe-hare foot hair for a buggy, high-floating wing that keeps the fly in the film during a hatch. A trailing shuck represents the shed husk; the dubbed body and flared wing imitate a struggling mayfly. Simple, durable, and floats well in broken water.
1. Start the Olive Thread and wrap to the bend.
2. Tie in a sparse Z-Lon trailing shuck.
3. Dub a tapered Olive Dubbing abdomen to the thorax.
4. Tie in a small clump of Snowshoe Rabbit Foot Hair as an upright wing.
5. Dub a fuller thorax around the wing base.
6. Whip finish, head cement.
