Rim Chung's impossibly simple tailwater nymph — gray dubbing and snowshoe rabbit wing, nothing more. The RS2 consistently outperforms more complex patterns on heavily pressured tailwaters where fish see everything.
1. Thread base — Attach gray thread to the hook and build a smooth base to the bend.
2. Tail — Tie in 2 sparse dun hackle fibers at the bend, extending one hook-gap in length. Optional — some tiers skip the tail entirely.
3. Abdomen — Dub a slim, smooth gray abdomen from the bend to the midpoint.
4. Wing — At the midpoint, tie in a small clump of snowshoe rabbit foot hair. The hair should extend rearward over the abdomen and be roughly hook-gap in length.
5. Thorax — Dub a slightly fuller gray thorax from the wing tie-in to just behind the eye.
6. Head — Build a tiny thread head. Whip finish and apply head cement.
